Nathan Meier is an undergraduate student in the Department of Geosciences. He started working with Dr. La Femina in the Geodesy Lab in the fall of 2013. Nate is researching crustal deformation at the Sierra Negra volcano, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador using data from a continuous GPS network. He presented a poster of his geodesy research in San Francisco, CA at the annual fall meeting of the AGU in 2014. Nate is currently drafting his senior thesis and preparing to graduate in May 2015. Before coming to Penn State, Nate worked as a Korean Language Analyst for six years in the U.S. Air Force. Using the newly instituted Post-9/11 GI Bill, Nate began classes at Penn State in the fall of 2012.
