Project Description:

Telica volcano is considered a persistently active volcano, showing heightened rates of geophysical unrest, including high rates of seismicity and degassing. Our Telica Seismic and Deformation (TESAND) Network monitors the pulse of the volcano. Our network consists of six (6) broadband seismometers and ten (10) continuously operating Global Positioning System (GPS) stations. The volcano last erupted in 2011 with a VEI 2 eruption (Geirsson et al., 2014).
